Nibiru Discovered? IRAS Detects Planet

posted by Mr. Black October 10, 2009

Deep in the farthest reaches of our solar system, beyond Neptune & Pluto, exist strange worlds. These so called "dwarf planets" contain secrets... about the formation of our solar system. And perhaps even other secrets that mankind is not yet prepared to accept.

One such planet is Nibiru. This elusive world, which has never been officially confirmed by NASA, has been the subject of controversy since the idea was first proposed by legendary researcher Zecharia Sitchin.

The Origin of the Nibiru Theory

Working with archaeological discoveries, artifacts, and recovered records, Sitchin reconstructed a compelling scenario for ancient Earth civilization. That ancient myths were not really myths at all. But rather, they are the first hand documentation of real events as told by humans who saw them first hand.

As a Biblical scholar, Sitchin was distinguished by his ability to read ancient Sumerian texts and clay tablets. The Sumerians were the first great civilization known to man. And Sitchin's Sumerian translations would prove to be revolutionary: according to Sitchin, the Sumerian people (and subsequently all modern day humans) were seeded on Earth by an advanced race of extraterrestrial beings known as the Annunaki. These large, 12 foot tall, large headed beings, who were known as "Gods" to the Sumerian people, hailed from a mysterious planet in our solar system, called: Nibiru.

According to the Sumerians, the Nibiru planet has a very large, yet highly elliptical orbit of 3,600 years . And every 3,600 years it passes between Mars & Jupiter, which is extremely close to Earth.

The 1983 IRAS Satellite Detection

The year is 1983. The Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) makes a stunning discovery. IRAS scientists claim they have detected a large object deep into the far reaches of the solar system. On December 30, 1983 this article appears in the Washington Post:

Possibly as Large as Jupiter; Mystery Heavenly Body Discovered

By Thomas O'Toole, Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, December 30, 1983 ; Page A1

A heavenly body possibly as large as the giant planet Jupiter and possibly so close to Earth
that it would be part of this solar system has been found in the direction of the constellation
Orion by an orbiting telescope aboard the U.S. infrared astronomical satellite.

So mysterious is the object that astronomers do not know if it is a planet, a giant comet, a
nearby "protostar" that never got hot enough to become a star, a distant galaxy so young that
it is still in the process of forming its first stars or a galaxy so shrouded in dust that none of the
light cast by its stars ever gets through.

"All I can tell you is that we don't know what it is," Dr. Gerry Neugebauer, IRAS chief
scientist for California's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and director of the Palomar Observatory
for the California Institute of Technology, said in an interview.

The most fascinating explanation of this mystery body, which is so cold it casts no light and
has never been seen by optical telescopes on Earth or in space, is that it is a giant gaseous
planet as large as Jupiter and as close to Earth as 50 billion miles. While that may seem like a
great distance in earthbound terms, it is a stone's throw in cosmological terms, so close in fact
that it would be the nearest heavenly body to Earth beyond the outermost planet Pluto.

"If it is really that close, it would be a part of our solar system," said Dr. James Houck of
Cornell University's Center for Radio Physics and Space Research and a member of the
IRAS science team. "If it is that close, I don't know how the world's planetary scientists
would even begin to classify it."

Was this confirmation of Nibiru?

In the Washington Post article above, the IRAS scientists claim they have discovered what might be a a large Jupiter sized planet in the deep solar system. What was this object? Did they find proof of Nibiru?

According to Zecharia Sitchin, the answer is yes.

On a recent Coast to Coast interview with Sitchin, now 87, the host George Noory eluded to the fact that astronomers are beginning to discover distant planets. "One day," George said, "they will find that extra planet in this solar system I am sure."

"They found it. In 1983." said Sitchin, referring to the IRAS discovery.

"Do you think that is Nibiru ?" said George.

"Of course!" Sitchin continued,"the planet was seen, then immediately the next day it was quashed and hush hushed." Implying that a shadowy agency put forward a mandate to keep the Nibiru discovery a secret.

And indeed, to this day representatives of the IRAS (at Caltech University) claim that of the ten unidentified objects detected by IRAS, most were apparently distant galaxies and that none were found to be Solar System bodies.
